
Getting Help
Help is always available at the computer. You can get full online Help through the Help option.
Note:
Your library may allow you to send a reference question to a librarian by email. Your library may also offer live online virtual reference. For more information, see "Contacting Online Reference Librarians".Open and use online Help
Follow these steps to get help with using the online catalog.
- Select Help on the menu bar.
- For help with a common topic, click the topic link.
A page with appropriate information opens. You may need to scroll the page to see all the information. Click X in the upper right corner of the Help window to close the page.
- To see the entire Help file, click Help Contents.
Tip:
The table of contents displays help topics as they would be organized in a book. The table of contents shows how topics are related to each other, and lets you move from topic to topic.
- To use the table of contents (left side of the Help window), click a topic link.
The topic is displayed in the details pane (right side of the Help window).
Tip:
The index displays help topics in alphabetical order. You may also find useful cross-references and alternate terms.
